Who We Are

Atlanta Female Riders began in 2015 when a group of female motorcycle riders planned a ride to Lafayette, Louisiana. Terri Benn, founder and CEO, wanted a place for all participants to have the information they needed to be safe and have fun while riding from Atlanta to the Boot! Out of that desire for all riders to be safe and knowing several female riders who went down and were severely injured or died, Terri formally established Atlanta Female Riders, Inc. AFR is a certified 501c3 non-profit that believes in teaching women to be safe while riding through opportunities for education, rides, and social activities, as many female riders ride alone. 

Atlanta Female Riders has a five-person Board of Directors and a Co-Executive Director, all of whom ride! As a collective, we want to grow and strengthen the female riding community in Atlanta throughout Georgia and the nation. 

Terri Benn believes that every rider should ride their ride. With that in mind, she is often heard saying, whether women want to ride across the country or across the street, Atlanta Female Riders is here to help them get there!
